GURU DIVAS 2024 👨‍🏫👩‍🏫

At The DN Wisdom Tree Global School, a school as unique as your child, Guru Divas or Teachers' Day was celebrated with reverence and joy, in an observance that symbolised both gratitude and growth. The sun shone ever so bright and hot on this special morning, as children of all grades dedicated Palash trees on the campus, in honour of their beloved mentors. It was a unique celebration: preserving nature and honouring those who shape our future. Needless to say, it was such a special, heartwarming gesture that it had the mentors overjoyed and exuberant. While the activity demonstrated appreciation for the teaching fraternity, it also highlighted the institution's efforts to revive this beautiful species that was once a hallmark of Bhubaneswar's green woodlands.

Mission Palash, conceptualised by our Vice Chairperson, Ms. Panchami Manoo Ukil, was initiated under her leadership as The DN Wisdom Tree Global School's 'Rebuilding through Re-greening' efforts to bring back the indigenous Palash (Butea monosperma) through a special strategy of plantation and urban re-greening in the city. More than 200 trees have been planted in the past three years, with the first trees blooming on campus this year.

Our students also put together a beautiful presentation of music, dance and poetry in honour of mentors which was greatly appreciated. All these special gestures made it a very memorable Teachers' Day at The DN Wisdom Tree Global School.

PRAJNA 2024
Inter House Quiz

What a thrilling morning, filled with brainpower and excitement at PRAJNA, our first Inter House Quiz competition of this academic session! The energy and enthusiasm was infectious. From history to science, performing arts to state specialities, current affairs and sports, PRAJNA tested children's knowledge in an engaging way. We are proud of all the participants who showcased their intelligence and dedication to learning. Children demonstrated their aptitude for learning beyond textbooks.

Quizmaster SK Niyazuddin (Niyaz Sir) took the four groups through ten enthralling rounds of questions with the audience being given a few to answer as well. A big shout out to all bright minds from the four houses who participated and did us proud. Let the excitement of acquiring knowledge continue to inspire you every day!

Congratulations, Team Indian Golden Oriole (Yellow House) for a very convincing win. Keep reaching for the stars and never cease expanding your knowledge!

Visit to DN Regalia Mall

Our Kindergartners had a day out, filled with fun and excitement, on a visit to the DN Regalia Mall. They enjoyed a bit of shopping with the pocket money they got from school. Our little people also got treats from the Regalia management. They loved the rides and had a look at the products available in a super mart. They were the centre of attention as they went around the store with their mentors. They were pampered by the mall management who facilitated smooth conduct of the visit. The whole process is about inculcating life skills like prioritising needs, making choices and understanding the concept of spending wisely. Here are glimpses of the fun they had.

A different take - here's the Thursday lunch plate at The DN Wisdom Tree Global School, a school as unique as your child. Our Vice Chairperson, Ms. Panchami Manoo Ukil, shares the delish details of what we eat for lunch at school on a given day.

Rice and Black Gram Dal - the best comfort food combo of carbohydrate, proteins, amino acids, folate and fibre.
Chickpeas - power packed; high in protein, fibre, Vitamin B, iron and antioxidants.

Vegetables (Potatoes & Okra or Ladies Finger) - rich in magnesium, folate, fiber, antioxidants, and vitamin C, K1, and A.

Sooji (semolina) Halva made with jaggery - high in protein and minerals like iron, magnesium and zinc. Added goodness of 'Gud', for we are a no sugar school!

There you have it - a balanced, healthy and delicious diet on a plate, served with love and dedication so that our little people get all the nutrients they need through the school day. Needless to say, our little ones enjoy every morsel.
