As part of its ‘Rebuilding through Regreening’ efforts post the damage and devastation wreaked by cyclone Fani, The DN Wisdom Tree Global School, Bhubaneswar, decided to reintroduce the Palash(Butea monosperma) through a special strategy of plantation and urban regreening in the city, named Mission PALASH. Mission Palash aims at bringing back Palash trees to Bhubaneshwar, that have disappeared from the city in the last thirty years.
Mission PALASH has planted over 200 young, growing Palash trees in Bhubaneswar city in the first phase. These trees have been specially procured by the school for this unique initiative. The idea is to plant young trees that will quickly grow and blossom in the next few years and will bring back the beloved blooms to Bhubaneswar.
To make Mission PALASH successful, The DN Wisdom Tree Global School seeks the support of partners and key stakeholders to get the initiative well anchored. We believe in working together and we are committed to bringing back our much-loved city’s special trees.
